Built in 1166 in honour of Saint Tryphon — patron saint of Kotor — this Romanesque cathedral is the finest medieval building in Montenegro. The twin bell towers were added after the great earthquake of 1667, and the treasury inside holds one of the most important collections of sacred art on the Adriatic coast. No visit to Kotor's old town is complete without stepping inside.

What we love

  • Small groups, real guides, no scripted patter.
  • The kind of access that you couldn't easily replicate on your own.
  • A route that ends with a story, not just a receipt.
