Njegoš Museum Billiards
The vibe
Njegoš's stone residence, named after a billiard table hauled over the mountains.
Biljarda was built in 1838 for Petar II Petrović-Njegoš — bishop, ruler, and Montenegro's greatest poet — and takes its name from the billiard table carried up the mountain trail from Kotor. The museum holds his rooms and books, with the great relief map of Montenegro in the pavilion behind. Pair it with the mausoleum on Lovćen for the full story.
What we love
- Small groups, real guides, no scripted patter.
- The kind of access that you couldn't easily replicate on your own.
- A route that ends with a story, not just a receipt.
